GoodBye Year 2oo8

My final post for this year!! 24 hours more to say hello to Year 2009.. Deeply, I miss Year 2008 so much!

A challenging, tough, fun and rewarding year. Memories that followed me throughout the days in Victoria Institution finally comes to an end today. After today, all will only remain as a fragment of my past, my memories. Time flies, so fast and 5 years is over..now I can look back as an alumni now (only if I did not go back for Form 6). The days of becoming the 'King of the School' is finally over, I missed it all man..

Moments I was a leader...

2008..also a year that I cannot forget in my life because of this examination>>SpM!! which made my life miserable this year, study study study non-stop, turning myself into a nerd. That's why I am also happy that finally I can forget the History, Moral and all those memorising stuffs =D

Also feel blessed this year as many interesting things happening this year, from January to December, every month seems so precious to me..cause there are many happenings each very month. These events that occurred this year really made me miss this year badly! especially those many stupid and foolish stuffs I did this year.

Crazy stuffs...

Good times, Bad times...regardless any of both times, made up this precious year-2008.. One thing made me miss this year so much is end of 'School Life'. All the time I had been hoping to end this year cause I wanna get out of school life ASAP. But somehow, I feel weird now as I miss the times I had in school..teachers, friends.. The feeling this month is so weird, no more buying books, stationary, trying out new uniforms, new school shoes, getting ready for school day to reopen on January. All I can do is stay at home and wait and watch my little sister going to school. Feel old, retired and jobless too xD

Will I be forgotten? I'll see about that next year.

Accomplishments~

Today is New Year Eve!! A brand new year, with new hope, new vision, new mission, new car or perhaps, new girlfriend xP of year 2009 is just hours ahead!! I wish all of you a very Happy and prosperous new year with good health and god blessed~

Hopefully year 2009 will be a brighter year for everyone.

The meaning of 'Success'

Today, I finally have the time to check through my room and pack things up after all the back-to-back trips..

Found some old notebooks and documents of mine which some had gone missing for so long. And I found back this old note of mine which was written long long time ago to the very first person I liked (secretly) back during the primary school days. It's not what you thinking, not a love letter k? XD It's just a poetry of success. My hope for her to be successful in the future times...but that's already the past. Quite meaningful though, so I would like to share this out =)

Success means something different
to each one of us,
but it comes to those who are willing to work hard

Singapore

So quick and now it's 30th December 2008, it's almost New Year which everyone is waiting for. A new year, a new hope, a new vision and a new adventure. Right, I can't sleep, so I will crap here.

Right, I will start of with Christmas in Singapore!!! It really is a big disappointment this year cause I can't celebrate countdown here on x'mas eve. All because there is no bus ticket available except for midnight buses, so parents didn't allow me to come here early, which suppose to be on Tuesday. Nevermind that, countdown at home is still not that bad and I enjoyed it =)

Reached Singapore on Christmas Day itself, after a long and tiring journey from KL. But one thing that made this journey meaningful to me. Due to bad traffic along the day, I stopped at MELAKA on the way. Thus, I get to visit Jonker's Street once again, just like what I did last year during my Melaka Trip. Furthermore, it's exactly one year ago since I last visit, so it feels like an anniversary. Revisiting brought back memories of last year trip. Seeing those places again since a year ago makes me feel rejoiced. Jonker's Street - what else is better than food there ??XD I ate um...baba durian cendol and oh ya, the Chicken Riceball!! Exactly the same shop I visited one year ago =D!! Revisiting old places feels so good.

Singapore, guess I don't have to tell much about it.. it is indeed much cleaner than Malaysia no doubt. Hardly find rubbish around, wonder is this the people here so responsible or the cleaners here are more efficient than Malaysia or BOTH XD Singapore, packed with many shopping malls and most of the malls are as packed up as Sungei Wang in Malaysia..certainly a paradise for shopaholics. Decorations for Christmas here is amazing with all beautiful plus colourful lights which lighted up the streets and the malls. There are lots of Christmas trees here too, but I can't find one here which is as gigantic as the one at Pavilion. Well, visited more than 5 malls and almost lost count on how many I have went to..spent a lot here man, seriously feeling broke here, everything here is doubled the currency of Ringgit Malaysia.

On Christmas, I received a present...latest model of G-Shock watch which cost almost RM 1000 (after converting to Ringgit Malaysia)!!! This is the most expensive watch I ever received as a Christmas gift.. and also the most expensive watch I wore so far.

Came back to KL on 29th at 4am..feel real tired and miss my bed so much. But it worth it, I had another wonderful and beautiful Christmas this year.

Christmas Eve 08'

This year's Christmas gonna be simple and easy for me, cause I finally celebrating Christmas Eve AT HOME!! Weirdly, I find it calm and contented to celebrate alone this year.

Once again, I miss White Christmas this year..when can I celebrate it? I can't wait for the day to come..
Christmas, a day of joy and blessings celebrated not only by Christians but by everyone all around of world, regardless race, religion or nationality. This day is not only to honor the birth of Jesus, but means even more than that. 25th December-A day when everyone wish to be by their family side on Christmas Eve no matter how far they are from their dearest family members.

Another modern tradition of Christmas which all young ones enjoy most, exchanging presents and not forgetting Mr. Santa Claus a.k.a. Father Christmas =) I enjoy watching Christmas trees around town and the smiles on the children faces this day every year. But what I enjoy the most is the warmth with my family members as we don't really get to be together too often.

My foster family are Christians. So, I was practising Christianity since I was a child until I was 7 years old when my parents brought me back home. I used to pray to Jesus before having meals, go to church, caroling, et cetera. The young me even stayed up whole night on Christmas Eve just hoping to meet Santa xD I always waited for this day for the presents from my foster parents. But those days are already the past, I haven't been to church during Christmas day like I used to 10 years ago. Miss those days a lot...

To me, Christmas is certainly somehow, a very 'peaceful' day to me. I find this day very joyous and calm every year. No matter how suck my mood is, I can give up thinking of it this day!! Should have called this day 'World Peace Day'?? haha.. Looking at those Christmas decorations and the Santa's costumes surely put a smile on my face every time I see them around. Can't really figure out whether there's any other celebrations that give me the feeling like this.

Pretty Face??

Being brought up in a all-boy's school make you see things from a different angle. Boys just love to judge the book by its cover, it's true no doubt, as we constantly label girls as 'pork chop' when they are ugly. We don't really care much about inner beauty, really..

However, one thing is true, pretty face do not last long as people aged but inner beauty may last for a lifetime.. It's not wrong to judge a person by his or her appearance but we still have to leave some space for their inner self, right?

Though all of us know how the 'reality' goes. External Beauty always go first.. thinking of this fact, I symphatised those who are born ugly, or were de-faced by accidents. This sounds similiar to The Phantom of The Opera, no? I deeply understands how it feels to be discriminated by others due to physical appearance. I also used to be a 'fatso' who everyone jeered at wherever I go. No one wants to make friend with me. All these people made me feel how evil this world is, and how selfish they are. Being isolated, I grew up on my own and I guess this is one reason why I am being cold today..

The feeling of being picked on by others just because of not having a 'pretty' face is not nice at all..but how many of us realised this. Funny, you can say to see me writing this down but I was once the guy being picked on. I really have really low self confidence and tends to stay away from socialising with the outside world, especially when communicating with the girls, coz my chubby face gets red easily!

Time flies, I grew up and no longer fatso..and I can see the difference of the old me and the new me. Still, I never crossed my mind before saying that I am really good looking now, but jokes around with my friends saying 'I am'. I don't really know what others think of me now, only that I still think that I am Ugly, but at least better than last time, I just cannot explain why. Guess I am still haunted by the past..

Besides, every guy wants a pretty and rich girlfriends, this also goes to the girls. But try think about it, will their beauty last forever, their wallets or their true self? Loving others for their face alone are not True Love..and has no blessings at all. At least, that's what I think. The truth in the current world is, hansome guys / pretty girls still have the edge =)

Emo-ing

This world is just like a stage for actors.. Being an actor, Sometimes I feel so difficult trying to pretend something I wasn't. Maybe I don't belong to this world?

Lately I found out that I have 2 sides in me, one side is shy, cool and solitary like the old me and another side is a happy-go-lucky, tough and outgoing me. But, I actually belongs to the cold side...how many knows about this? no one. Maybe I should call this double personality. Pretending to be a tough guy is very hard, cause I know I am not. At times, I feel like breaking down but the fake side of me stops me from doing so..

The reason this new side of mine came into reality is due to numerous regrets and hurtful events that haunt me in the past. I thought that a change in me will make things better, but I was wrong, I am exhausted now. People around me thought that I was what I nicknamed myself -"ironman" without realising the fragile side of mine. I wonder how many of the people around me masked themselves with another personality? I admit it, I am not as tough as you all think, I am weak. A weakling who hates himself so much for not able to control his own life, not able to show true self, and not able to show my love to my loved ones..a weakling who gave up all his chances.

Looking back, I see many faint memories flashing through my head..I start to realise that I have been acting for so long. Year 2008 is ending, maybe now's  the time to let go..

Why am I posting this?! Just leave me alone..

Penang Trip ~(15th Dec till 18th Dec 2008)

Yet another VIAVB Annual Board Trip to Penang this year, last year was Malacca. Both trips were totally amazing, the memories and the time we spent there are so damn nostalgic. This year's feeling is totally different from the year before, cause it's my final trip with my board members and also my fifth formers brothers plus friends from other schools!!

Too much to talk about the entire trip, so I will just try to highlight as many events happened there as possible. Not forgetting to thank Lam Win Nie who became the honourable photographer throughout the whole trip, without you, I don't have that many photos currently!! The only girl from SAB..Hope you really enjoyed the whole trip yeah even though you are 'alone' xD

Day 1 (15th December 2008)

A real long journey begins around 10am from Victoria Institution. The whole journey takes almost 6 hours as the bus kept on stopping at almost every pit stops. Though, the bus became a moving 'Karaoke Lounge' cause everyone kept on singing, including me of course xD

One funny thing happened..while on our way to the beach, a man asked us to use Shangri-La's beach, so we went to the Shangri-La's entrance..there's a guard there

Me: Er..kena call dulu

Real soon, it's already night time..so we went jalan jalan cari makan near our apartment. Damn, the food at Batu Ferringhi is NOT CHEAP, it's throat-slitting!! So darn difficult to find cheap food! P/S: This is a tourism area.. caught some nice photos during the night time

Walked all the way down the street and finally decided to stop cause there is NO cheap food around... thanks to WATER FISH CAPTAIN, Lee Chee Hoe..we stopped by at this quite expensive restaurant after arguing for discounts XD

One sky juice in this restaurant cost RM4.80!!! Thanks to Captain Water Fish..luckily I am only the Vice Captain..

Day 2 ( 16th December 2008)

The trip to the town starts today!! Had our breakfast and went straight up to Kek Lok Si Temple

Meng Tsu somehow was sick that day, he is having fever. So, he just follow us around and refuses to be in any of the photos.

Then, we came to this enormous Guan Yin statue located at the top of the hill, which we need to go up there by an inclined lift.

This short distance lift cost us RM4 each, but don't care much, take it as charity =D

Day 3 ( 17th December 2008)

Most picturesque SUNSET Ever!!!

The Volleyball Court actually belongs to the Shang-ri La Hotel, so we failed to rent a ball. Kah Hoong, Khei Lum and me followed Winnie out to the street 'naked' to search for a volleyball! We were only wearing surfing pants..the feeling is like running along Petaling Street with underwear.. went so far down the street just to get a ball, but failed. So we just bought a light ball to replace the real volleyball XD We ran back up almost 500m to meet up with the rest of the gang.

Still consider a good game until Win Nie dropped her ring!!! All of us searched for it until the whole sky turned dark. Thus, we walked back to our apartment as the sky is getting darker and decided to continue our search the next morning, oh yea, and to continue our game.

This time we do not want to follow the Captain Water Fish again, so we ate at a food court. Aku pula jadi water fish for spending RM40 on chicken wings =(

Tonight is Campfire Night, so all of us gather at the beach around 11pm while waiting for the campfire to be lit up by the Form 4s.. Meanwhile, we lied down on the beach, listening to the sound of the waves washing the sands away and counting the stars in the sky. The feeling was amazing and it's the very first time I experienced such tranquility, until Chee Hoe starts his craps again with Chimpanzee Chin Hong.

At last, the campfire is set and we started our Traditional Game - 'Mafia'!!!

The whole game was fun but the Lower Sixes are as cold as ice!! Me? I am as pro as ever, I AM THE MAFIA KING ok??!! Mwahahahaha...

3am midnight, everyone KOed...except Yu Shaun (me), Chin Hong, Terence, Jeffrey, Audrey, Yi Theng and Win Nie are the only surviving ones who are NOT sleeping the last day, making us the ones who did not sleep for 2 days! Chin Hong don't stay long though, lose in a card game and go sleep already, leaving out the rest of us waiting to go play volleyball in the morning.

Sad to say, I too, fell asleep halfway when palying card games xD But the 3 powerpuff girls (Win Nie, Yi Theng & Audrey) actually went to beach the other morning!!! I really 'pui fuk' them.. Thank god Win Nie found back her ring too =)

Day 4 (18th December 2008)
